Global Academic Research Institute (GARI), organized the international conference on Engineering and Technology (ICET) in March 2015. Following the success of this event, post – conference evaluation conducted by the GARI decided to repeat this conference periodically. The main goal of ICET is to provide an opportunity for academicians and professionals from various Engineering and Technology related fields from all over the world to come together and learn from each other. An additional goal of the conference is to provide a place for academicians and professionals with cross-disciplinary interests related to Engineering and Technology to meet and interact with members inside and outside their own particular disciplines

Engineering is the application of mathematics, empirical evidence and scientific, economic, social, and practical knowledge in order to invent, innovate, design, build, maintain, research, and improve structures, machines, tools, systems, components, materials, processes and organizations. The discipline of engineering is extremely broad, and encompasses a range of more specialized fields of engineering, each with a more specific emphasis on particular areas of applied science, technology and types of application.

Technology is the collection of techniques, skills, methods and processes used in the production of goods or services or in the accomplishment of objectives, such as scientific investigation. Technology can be the knowledge of techniques, processes, etc. or it can be embedded in machines, computers, devices and factories, which can be operated by individuals without detailed knowledge of the workings of such things.

Our past conferences had been successful in attracting over 25 participants and the next conference will be hosted on 02 nd December 2016 in Colombo.

The key note participation of 2015 was Prof. Dr. Dimiter Velev (University of National and World Economy), Dr. Shihab A.Hameed (Electrical; Computer Engineering Dept., IIUM University).
